A practical structure for a service business
| Page | Customer question | Content to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Home | How can you help me? | A clear service statement, key strengths, relevant work and an enquiry route. |
| About | Can I trust you? | Real company background, team roles, working approach and contact details. |
| Services | Is this right for me? | Who it suits, inclusions, process, limitations and pricing approach. |
| Work or case studies | Have you done relevant work? | Approved projects, your actual scope, images and explanations. |
| Contact | How do I get started? | WhatsApp, email, useful enquiry details and your address. |
This is an example structure. Adjust it to your business. If you have no publishable projects, a detailed process or FAQ page can answer customer concerns. Use genuine evidence. If you offer many services, prioritise the main one and assess whether others need separate pages.
Make the first screen specific
Visitors should understand what you do, who you serve and how to enquire. “Daily and deep cleaning for Hong Kong offices” says more than “Professional service you can trust”. Support the statement with your service scope, real photographs and working process. A button such as “Request an office cleaning quote” also explains the next step.
Follow the customer's decision process
- Describe the customers and needs your service suits.
- Explain what is included and what requires a separate arrangement.
- Set out the information customers need to supply and the project steps.
- Show relevant work and answer common questions.
- Provide a clear enquiry route.
Prepare the assets before design begins
- Your company name, original logo files and approved contact details.
- One copy document per page, with headings and the main call to action.
- Full-size images you have permission to use, with short descriptions.
- Permission to publish case studies and a list of confidential details to hide.
- Approved prices, service conditions and applicable dates.
A useful handover method: create five numbered folders, one per page, and name images by their intended use. Choose one person to consolidate feedback so the team has a single approved version of the copy.
Walk through the site as a customer
Ask someone unfamiliar with your business to browse it on a phone. Can they explain your services, intended audience and contact method? Test every WhatsApp, email and page link. Connect services to relevant work and enquiries so visitors have a useful next step.
Our business website service can use this structure. The HK$5,000 plan covers a homepage and four inner pages in one language. See the full package, explore the e-money.hk case study, or send us your proposed five pages.
