Start with the problem, then define the work
A redesign can involve visual changes, content, functionality and migration. We begin with your current website: which pages remain useful, what is outdated and which customer actions you want to improve. We then turn those needs into an agreed scope.
| Your situation | What to check first |
|---|---|
| Visitors need to zoom in on mobile | Text size, page width, button positions and image proportions. |
| Customers struggle to find the right service | Navigation categories, service content and related links. |
| You have visits but few enquiries | Traffic sources, service information, trust signals and enquiry steps, supported by data where available. |
| Your business information has changed | Consistency across branding, services, work, pricing and contact details. |
| The current system limits your next step | Data and features to retain, management needs and migration dependencies. |
Decide what is worth keeping
Useful existing content, real project examples, links customers use and pages found through search are all important inputs. If you have search or traffic reports, we can use them to identify pages that regularly bring visitors, so useful content is considered before visual preferences drive removal.
Before work begins, we identify pages to retain, rewrite, combine or remove. We also confirm whether forms, email, membership, payments or other systems need to continue, and include the related work in the quotation.
Plan old URLs and launch dependencies
- Map existing URLs to the appropriate new pages.
- Plan redirects where a suitable replacement exists, instead of sending every old URL to the homepage.
- Check titles, descriptions, language versions and internal links.
- Identify dependencies between the domain, hosting, email and third-party services.
- Check mobile layouts and enquiry options before launch, then hand over the agreed work.
The quotation will specify whether full data migration, redirects and post-launch monitoring are included, based on the existing setup. Search performance can change when content and URLs change, so it should be monitored after launch.
How are price and timing decided?
If the work fits a standard 5-page business website, we can assess whether the HK$5,000 plan applies. Data migration, special features and additional pages are assessed separately. Delivery in 3 working days applies to the standard plan once content, assets and design direction are confirmed. Additional redesign work and the specific delivery date are agreed separately in writing.
What should you send us first?
- Your current website address and the three things you most want to improve.
- The pages, languages, features and content you need to keep.
- Basic details of the existing platform and hosting, if you know them.
- Your preferred completion date and budget direction.
A website address and a short description are enough for an initial enquiry. You do not need to include administrator passwords in the form. If access is needed later, we will agree a suitable arrangement.
